As you've seen in prevoious screens, the Key words based search tools search for key words - specific words you wish the tool to look for.
Key words based search tools might look for your key words in several different sources: Web page titles, Page abstracts, Page's key words (as they were defined by the owners of the page) or throughout the entire text (a full text search).
Most tools search the title, the abstracts and the key words.
A full text search is rare and performed only by few search tools (such as the Wais).
However, the title, abstract and key words searches are usually sufficient, because if a specific word is a main issue of a certain page, it will probably appear in one of them.
-----
How do Key words based tools search?
After you have typed your key words, the search tool searches them in the page's titles, URL's and key words.
When it is done, it displays a list of all the Web pages that include these words.
The results on the list always appear in accordance with their relative relevancy to your search - as estimated by the search tool (usually - according to the number of times it found the requested word in this page).
Some tools will also display a numeric score, rating the relevancy of the page. This score can't be analyzed as is - if the first page on your list has a 100 score - it doesn't necessarily mean that this item suits you perfectly. But, if you compare the scores of two different pages, it can assist you determine which one would be more relevant for you.
Therefore, it might be a good idea to check the results following the order given by the search tool.
